PDF format: Your file should ideally be in PDF format. If that’s not possible, send us files in ESP, PSD or AI format. Make sure text is vectorized or converted to outline. Check the “Crop marks” box when you save your document as a PDF.
Justification: Make sure the document you provide is ¼ inch bigger on all sides than you want the final product to be. That means that your images or background colours need to go past the edges of your document to avoid a unwanted white frame after cutting.
Text: Leave a ⅛-inch margin around all text and graphics
Colours: Make sure your colour profile is CMYK and not RGB to avoid having your colours shift during the printing process.
Black: For large areas of black, it’s important to use rich black (40% cyan, 40% magenta, 30% yellow, 100% black). For text, plain black is recommended (0% cyan, magenta and yellow, 100% black).
Resolution: For optimal definition, all files must have a minimum resolution of 300 PPI (DPI).
